We can provide several options for electic fence monitoring, including the Pakton PTE0700 module. This device has low power consumption and can be interfaced to all our telemetry systems enabling remote monitoring of electric fences on any property. It has high voltage isolation and therefore protects equipment from any potential damaging EMF. The unit has adjustable alarm settings and 0-5V output proportional to fence voltage.
We can supply a 3-beam alarm system consisting of an active photoelectric infrared sender and detector pair. These are installed in opposing positions covering the boundary to be secured and when the beam is broken, based on an adjusted response time, an alarm signal is triggered. The separation distance between the two components can be up to 200m outdoors and 600m indoors. The alarm can be sent either by by wired or wireless connection to any of our remote monitoring systems to notify a recipient by email or SMS. Alternatively an audilble or visual alarm can be produced for on-site monitoring if required.
* All prices include the cost of the sensor and any associated interface hardware required to connect to the remote monitoring system
We have available a range of pressure sensors and flow transducers that can be interfaced to all of our telemetry systems. Flow rate gauges range in capacity from 0.1 L/min to over 1000L/min and come with standard pipe fittings. The flow detection method employed is a rotating paddle with Hall Effect sensor and microprocessor counter. Pressure sensors are all submersible and can be plastic or stainless steel construction. Gauge, absolute and differential pressure types are available and cover pressures from 0.1 to 1000PSI in intermediate steps.
For the purpose of determining if equipment has moved, or to keep a check on assets, a method of tagging and tracking is needed. Remote monitoring of orientation or location is an easy way to achieve this. For example, movement of rotating irrigation pivots can easily be followed by mounting a digital compass, interfaced to one of our M2M units, on the main structure of the equipment. Similarly, in order to find the current location of farm machinery the GPS co-ordinates can be retrieved by SMS, also using our M2M unit interfaced to a GPS module.
The Dissolved Oxygen (DO) sensor and interface enables full-range DO readings for environmental monitoring such as aquaculture, hydroponics, viticulture etc. Initial calibration is required before use and then the unit can be operated continuously for 12 months before recalibration is needed.
Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) or Redox is the activity or strength of oxidizers and reducers in relation to their concentration. For example, chlorinated water is oxidising and will show a positive ORP value, whereas sodium sulfite (a reducing agent) will show a negative ORP value. ORP can be used for cooling tower disinfection, groundwater remediation, bleaching, metal etching, fruit and vegetable disinfection and dechlorination etc. ORP is expressed in millivolts and can be remotely determined and continuously monitored with our ORP electrode and interface circuitry.
For water quality and stock feed applications, remote determination of pH is an important consideration. Our pH probe and interface electronics allows pH from 0-14 to be determined with research grade reliability.
We can offer measurements of electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS) and salinity of a liquid using any of 3 different types of conductivity probes (K 0.1/ K 1.0/ K 10), giving the conductivity circuit interface a range from 11µs up to 92,000µs.
Calibration solutions for all electrodes are available
Our standard leaf wetness sensor incorporates etched interdigital electrodes which change electrical characteristics when moisture droplets bridge the circuit traces.
Our light sensor uses the Sharp GA1A12S202 non-linear light detector IC. Many light sensors have a linear relationship with light intensity and therefore they are not very sensitive to small variations in dark locations and plateau in intense light. The GA1A12S202 analog light sensor is logarithmic over a large range of 3 to 55,000 Lux and provides an analog output that can be monitored remotely by all of our systems.
We have available a range of temperature sensors including thermistor, thermocouple and digital IC types, some with a resolution of better than 0.01 deg C. We also stock the Honeywell HIH humidity sensor that is suitable for humidity range 0-100% and can be used in a condensing environment. All of these sensors can be interfaced to our telemetry systems
We have available a range of moisture sensors that are able to be combined with our monitoring systems for remote determination of water content of granular materials.
For general purpose applications, the Vegetronix VH400 series moisture sensor provides low cost measurement of water content of soil. This probe calculates the dielectric constant of the medium by transmission line methods and is not influenced by water salinity. These sensors do not corrode and will provide a reading in less than a second from insertion, unlike gypsum block sensors. Our software converts sensor output into percentage soil moisture content using a standard calibration curve.
The VORTEX Series II Anemometer includes the following:
Solid state Hall Effect sensor for increased durability and reliability
Hand made Delrin body with longer shaft and internal PC Board for sensors and options
Flat metal bracket or tubular mounting
Optional wire lengths
Completely serviceable and rebuildable!
The Vortex series of wind sensors have a reputation for being well made, accurate, reliable, and affordable and can be interfaced to most of our telemetry systems
We also have available lower priced wind speed sensors for everyday applications and complete weather stations, including wind direction sensor .
Self-emptying tipping bucket rain gauges can be interfaced to all our telemetry systems to provide cumulative rainfall totals and periodic readings logged at user-defined intervals, ranging from one minute to several hours. We have available budget priced units and professional gauges, including the Davis system designed to meet the guidelines of the World Meteorological Organization.
